Once again we sat around the mics with the luminaries of the podcasting world (at least the ones able to make it to the Southern Ontario Open!) and discussed the state of WarMachine.
This year the talk was moderated by the one and only Tim Banky (who did a deft job at the helm) rather than the usual Will Richardson, but otherwise it was business as usual: doom and gloom for kilometers around and nary a positive thing to be said from anyone.
Well! Another Southern Ontario Open has come and gone, and just like last year, I was barely able to attend… but thankfully the rest of the Combo Smite crew were able to be there for the majority of the event and REPRESENT!
… if by that I mean lose lots of games. But they had a great time, and truth be told, so did I! Hopefully next year I can actually spend more than a frantic 5-hours at the tournament!
I suppose the title of this podcast could’ve been “Infernal Gotcha Players”, but that’s not quite what we talk about. Basically, Darrell, Kassem, Nick, and I spend thirty minutes discussing the current THEORY of the Infernals (but not their rules, because everything is in flux and nothing means anything yet), and then almost an hour screaming at each other about whether “gotcha”-style play is a problem or not.
Spoilers: Darrell and I disagree, sorta. But loudly.
Sorry for missing the last couple weeks, folks. Life has been pretty hectic around here, but we are again moving towards predictability and normalcy, so hopefully things will get back to our weekly (or NEARLY weekly!) schedule!
Who knows, we’re trying. Anyway, this week we discuss how Team Combo Smite did at the OTC! Great tournament talk with Nick, Kassem, and Jeremy! Hope you folks all enjoy!
Well, it’s been over a week, but we’re FINALLY getting last week’s episode out to the fans. Hello fans! Nick and I sit down and discuss a few topics from the ATC list submissions… a bit about Cygnar (oh, how the mighty have fallen), Cryx (ibid), and Skorne (yeah, even I don’t get that one), for example.
It’s a good chat, and now that Canada has won the ATC (surprising few, pleasing many), maybe we can view these decisions in a quaint “Oh, how little we knew” sorta way. ANYway, hope everyone enjoys!
