Nick, Darrell, and I sit down for some post-WTC discussion.
Congrats to all the members of all the Canadian teams for doing us proud, and for the Australians for being the first country to claim two WTC victories! Nicely done, folks.
Now with that spoiled, we can focus on how the various Factions and warcasters did. And we won’t agree about much, except that Cygnar is the worst Faction ever in all time forever.
Just a quick note that we won’t be recording or putting out a podcast this week due to Nick spending all weekend watching the WTC and Marc spending that time working.
Yay work. It’s… something.
Anyway! We’ll be back this week with new shinies! Sorry for the delay, hope everyone enjoyed the WTC, and obviously a huge congratulations to Australia for winning! Way to go, guys!
(We’re also extremely proud of all the Canadian teams, obviously!)
Hey folks! This week’s podcast isn’t a little late because Marc forgot to upload it last night but because… uhhh… reasons?
We take a look at some of the lists we were running back in the misty origins of 3rd edition, comparing those lists to how we would play the same casters today. We also speak a little bit about theme lists, and Marc’s continued dislike of how they’re handled… but they are what they are, right?
We have a weird one for you this week, folks. Prompted by a question by the incomparable Jason Lucas (hi Jason! I still have your sweater!), Nick, Darrell, and I discuss the issue of race(s) in the Iron Kingdoms, as well as briefly touching on the issue of LGBTQ+ in WarMachine.
Before that we talk GenCon, new releases, tournaments… lots of WarMachine this week, as well as some interesting talking points.
As always, we’re happy to hear from any of our listeners through e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook, and we don’t claim to be experts on these issues, but hey, it was a slow week for playing games!
Hey folks! Nick was off traveling this week, and Marc was… lazy, really.
But! Exciting stuff is coming. We’re getting together on Wednesday to discuss a few upcoming episodes, plot out some options, do all the boring stuff that lets us be consistent and amazing the rest of the time.
So! Sorry about the delay, but hey, if any of you lovely people have suggestions for a 200th episode… why not leave ’em in the comments? Can’t promise we’ll DO ’em, but we’ll at least read ’em!
And as an aside: Marc is currently buying all of the Crucible Guard. ALL OF IT. I’m thinking Orange as a colour scheme… we’ll see, we’ll see…
Also, a quick thank you Marc-Andre and Chandler for your feedback about last week’s episode. We’ll bring up the points you mentioned next week when we record again. But thanks guys, I’m really flattered you listen!
