This week, Marc, Nick, and Darrell sit down with the WTC list statistics, and find a couple we like and a couple we think are insane.
Good times.
Best of luck to all the teams on their way or already in Poland for the tournament! And, of course, bester of luck to the Team Canadas (even if Nick is upset about double-Cryx teams…)
A few weeks back, the Combo Smite crew attended the Southern Ontario Open (“the SOO”). This is the last “big con” that Combo Smite attends, and it is an incredible event.
This week, we managed to rope in one of the organizers AND the winner of the SOO Masters event back to the ‘cast. An incredible player, an incredible judge, just a incredible guy.
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season, and enjoying time spent with family and/or friends! A new errata dropped last week, and Nick and I sat down and talked about all the changes, and how we see the shifting meta… plus how we feel about the shift in PP’s policies towards errata and playtesting!
Let us know what you think!
(Also, a head’s up: we’ve run into the wall for media space on Combo Smite, so Marc is going to have to start deleting old images… the audio will stay, so you can still listen to all of our ancient podcasts, but don’t be surprised if the pretty pictures start disappearing!… and, coincidentally, that’s why our header images are now… different…)
So last weekend was GenCon, and like many of you out there we were super excited about the new warcasters released at the event (the “grown up” version of the Journeypeople warcasters).
Nick and I couldn’t wait to discuss them… so we didn’t! This is back to our usual 1 hour podcast format. The question on everyone’s mind… which are the best!?
So we recorded the 2nd half of our OTC podcast this week, running through the games played by the Combo Smite Team 2 group, captained by Todd! Big thanks to Todd and Darrell for comin’ out to talk shop and run through their battles!
It’s that time of year again, folks… the Ontario Team Championships have come and gone. Nick and I managed to rope the two hosts of Arcane Assist into helping out with one of our teams this year, and it was an incredibly fun time!
A big thank you to Matt and Tim for helping out, both with the team and with this week’s podcast!
Time for a bit of a change of pace, folks! Instead of doing a battle report this week, we’d thought it would be informative and useful to talk a bit about the Masters format, and specifically the Active Duty Roster and Specialists that it grants!
Hello fine WarmaHorders! Or possibly HordeMachiners… both! Hi. How was your Valentine’s day? Would you all care for a little love from the world’s 2nd best WarMachine and Hordes podcast? Of course you would.
As promised, here is our wrap up episode from CaptainCon, including 6 games I (Marc) played, the 5 games Todd played, and the… one… game that Nick played.
