Were you aware that with “just” Haley3 on the table, your average Cygnar player will require 18 Focus tokens? Sounds like a lot… and, of course that doesn’t include a Journeywoman Warcaster, nor Jakes… but with the right list, eZaal can easily outdo even the most Focus-plentiful lists!
So, basically, his schwartz is as long as mine… but can he *use* it?
I am still loving the hell out of Haley3… she’s just so much fun to put on the table! Meanwhile, Nick has decided to dip his toes into the Mercenary pool again…
So, it turns out that the audio for this week’s podcast is exactly 50% of what it should be… for whatever reason, my recording software decided it didn’t want to record Nick or Darrell at all. Thankfully, Darrell had an extra 30 minutes to re-record the turns, but as a result I’ve had to cut vast swathes of our banter (which simply didn’t record!).
My apologies to our listeners… technology is a fickle mistress!
With the recent change to Haley2, it’s become more critical than ever to consider Cygnar’s list pairing options… which is wonderful, because it opens up a lot of space for warcasters like Kraye!
Of course, just because you have opened new space, doesn’t automatically mean you will design anything *good*… let’s see what happens when my ARM-cracking Kraye list runs into Kassem fielding his new Bugs of Terror!
This past weekend another tournament was held at The Game Chamber. This was a qualifier for the World Ender Invitational being organized by Party Foul. It was a great event and we were there to take some video Footage.
So last week, just after the errata was posted, Kassem and I managed to get a game in. I was preparing for a major tournament that Saturday so needed to get my beloved Haley2 on the table to see how the new Feat changed her playstyle, and Kassem was super excited to get the new Zaal on the table…
I think, in the end, we were both unprepared for what would happen…
Okay, this is much less of a time-travel than originally expected… see, we were SUPPOSED to record another podcast this week, but SOMEBODY (cough-Todd-cough) had to go and see some band in Toronto.
“Can’t Tie” or “Glideloop” or “Skidhitch” or something like that. So as a result, we’re using our banked Podcast for this week, and we’ll use this week’s podcast for NEXT week and oh dear I’ve gone cross-eyed…
As mentioned on this week’s podcast (gosh, I hope I get these written up by the end of the week now!), Nick and I attended the final Store Wars qualifying event at the Hobby Kingdom in Burlington on Saturday.
You’ve heard the podcast… now you can see the battles and read the blow-by-blow(ish) of the games! Excitement! Danger! Adventure! Really interesting applications of Saeryn’s Grievous Wounds!
