Hello listeners! This week we do the last OTC battle reports we’re going to cover in the main stream (Kassem may yet talk about how he did on “Strategy Street”, but that’s up to him!). Mostly, we talk with Darrell about Menoth, but I managed to sneak in Todd’s batreps in the week since we recorded… so enjoy!
Ah, the annual OTC. A great time for WarMachine, and a wonderful opportunity to record a metric crap-tonne of battle reports! This episode Nick and I talk about our battles, and we’re planning on getting the rest of the team in a later episode!
For our American listeners, conversion from metric crap-tonnes to Imperial crap-tonnes is approximately 1.47.
Okay folks, last week for this batch of tournament analysis epsidoes… Saturday we’re all off to the Ontario Team Championships, and then Sunday we’re going to talk about it! I hope!
Until then… why not a little more Kassem, discussing his Skorne tactics for a tournament we had a few weeks back?
What a time to be alive, folks. Kassem is recording his own podcasts, discussing lists and strategy for Skorne, and I’m absolutely fascinated to hear how it turns out… but in the meantime, we still have our regular Combo Smite episodes!
This week, we jump into a full analysis of Nick’s recent tournament results with Retribution and the two lists he brought to the table. Some really weird time-warp going on here, with News and Announcements and New Zealand and all sorts of stuff, but hopefully everyone enjoys it!
Hey guys! Sorry this podcast is up late: Nick and I were up playing D&D in celebration of Aaron’s birthday until 1am (and then I got to drive home for an hour!), and the editing was blah blah blah excuses excuses IT’S DONE NOW.
This week we’re doing another time-warp episode doing analysis on Todd’s tournament results.
I really enjoy doing these episodes, and I’m looking forward to doing another batch of them soon (I’m running another tournament in February, and then there’s the Ontario Team Championships, another tournament in April… lots of batreps, lots of analysis, lots of good things!).
Anyway! Give a listen, and remember that the analysis and tournament were both pre-Errata! Heck, we recorded the first half pre-Winter-holidays!
We’re trying something new and exciting for this week (and a few other weeks coming up, due to Nick heading off to beautiful New Zealand for a month!). We’re going to focus very specifically on a list pairing in Legion, discussing why Nick built the lists he did first, and then come back after a local tournament to find out how he did!
It’s a new format, and I think it worked out really well… but let us know what you think!
Hey folks. Life conspired to keep Nick and I from recording this weekend. We should be recording the Legion Faction review this week, though, so you can all look forward to that!
In other news: One of the Team Canadas came in 3rd at the WTC!
We play against (and with!) these guys all the time, so it really feels like a win for us (in a much less direct way than for the guys who actually worked and earned the win!). So congrats again to Chris, Bubba, Tim, David, and Chandler!
Did you guys know that we’re theoretically a Battle Report podcast?! I know, I know… I scarcely believe it myself. And yet, what do we have here?
A big thank you to RJ (from Team Canada) for inviting us down, to Nick and Paul from “CG Realms” in Windsor for hosting the event, and to all the players in the Windsor meta who gave us such a warm welcome and a day full of great gaming!
Nick, Darrell, Aaron, Kassem, and I headed down to Hamilton, Ontario for the “Southern Ontario Open” again this year! This is probably the best WarMachine tournament any of us have ever attended, and Saturday night after the Masters qualifiers, we sat down and recorded our experiences!
Give it a listen, let us know what ya think!
