So this battle is, shall we say, a little heavy on the proxies… I blame Todd!
But hey, we get a chance to explore the new Kromac in all his raging, axe-wielding glory! Bring it on!
So last week, just after the errata was posted, Kassem and I managed to get a game in. I was preparing for a major tournament that Saturday so needed to get my beloved Haley2 on the table to see how the new Feat changed her playstyle, and Kassem was super excited to get the new Zaal on the table…
I think, in the end, we were both unprepared for what would happen…
Okay, this is much less of a time-travel than originally expected… see, we were SUPPOSED to record another podcast this week, but SOMEBODY (cough-Todd-cough) had to go and see some band in Toronto.
“Can’t Tie” or “Glideloop” or “Skidhitch” or something like that. So as a result, we’re using our banked Podcast for this week, and we’ll use this week’s podcast for NEXT week and oh dear I’ve gone cross-eyed…
As mentioned on this week’s podcast (gosh, I hope I get these written up by the end of the week now!), Nick and I attended the final Store Wars qualifying event at the Hobby Kingdom in Burlington on Saturday.
You’ve heard the podcast… now you can see the battles and read the blow-by-blow(ish) of the games! Excitement! Danger! Adventure! Really interesting applications of Saeryn’s Grievous Wounds!
This week’s battle report podcast is about the results of Nick and my trip to the final Store Wars qualifier event…
I did sorta-okay! Nick did less-okay but learned a lot! And by listening, you guys can learn a lot too!
Full written battle reports will follow later this week (hopefully Thursday!), but for now, enjoy the podcast! And keep your fingers crossed that I manage to make it into the Top 16!
With this week’s game played on Monday between my Cygnar and Tim’s Farrow I had the opportunity to play a solid practice game on Wednesday. This is that game.
The dust has settled. The armies have been packed up. The tables are stacked away. The beer has finally been flushed from the collective systems of 200-odd WarMachine and Hordes players.
It is time for the post-Southern Ontario Open wrap up.
Throughout the pictures I took, you’re going to see some awesome zone-markers I bought in support of Team Canada (I bought 2 complete sets for running tournaments, and to help our boys get to Ireland). Please support Team Canada’s WTC funding efforts in your local area (assuming you can find somebody selling them! They’re awesome!).

One last tournament battle report from Store Wars… and I’ve finally pulled out Cygnar’s Finest for this one… of course, I didn’t actually *practice* these lists beforehand… but what could possibly go wrong?
Many valuable lessons in today’s game as we smash two titanic warcasters, and their corresponding giant constructs, into each other!
