Podcast 191 – Southern Ontario Open Wrap-Up!

Phew! That took awhile.
For the record, I *still* can’t find a link to the “State of the Meta” podcast the boys recorded when they were at the SOO… but as soon as I do, I’ll put a link to it on here.

Until then, I suppose you can listen to Darrell, Nick, and me talk about all the good times we had at the event, and a little about the new shinies coming out soon!

And I know I’ve said it before, but thank you again for your patience, everyone. We’ve all had a lot on our plates recently, but I’m hopeful we can get back into the weekly groove of doing these things, because we love doin’ ’em and apparently you guys don’t mind listening to ’em!

Southern Ontario Open

So the Southern Ontario Open has come and gone. Big thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone else who helps make the event possible!

We’re going to record a podcast about it (and probably the new Journeypeople Warcasters) in the near future, plus the amazing “State of the Meta” podcast that Nick and Darrell got to be a part of, but the team is busy recovering today.

So content is coming! We’re just not 100% sure exactly when… but soon! Definitely soon.

Thanks for your patience! And, hey, if you want to see Marc playing an embarrassingly awful game of WarMachine against an incredible (and nice) opponent, check the following link:

Podcast 190 – Southern Ontario Open preparations!

The SOO is approaching, and Nick and I take some time to talk about what we’re planning on running at the event.

Nick is going with Legion and Mercs, and I’m taking ye olde Cygnar… should be good!

Podcast 158 – Southern Ontario Open Wrap-Up with Tim (The Enchanter) Banky!

A few weeks back, the Combo Smite crew attended the Southern Ontario Open (“the SOO”). This is the last “big con” that Combo Smite attends, and it is an incredible event.

This week, we managed to rope in one of the organizers AND the winner of the SOO Masters event back to the ‘cast. An incredible player, an incredible judge, just a incredible guy.

Give it a listen!

Podcast 157 – State of the Union Address with ALL THE PODCASTERS

So Will and Rich (from “This Deathclock Has 60 Minutes” and “BeerMachine”, respectively) decided it would be a great idea to get a whole whackload of podcasters in a room and talk WarMachine.

All I had to do was show up, so I was 100% on board for this. Give it a listen, respect the fact that while Menoth John may be the best corporate shill that ever, ever existed… I think Nick and I are actually, probably, the funniest people in the room.

And Darrell wasn’t the saltiest by a LONG shot… ^_^

Anyway! Let us know what you think!
Also, do check out the Moose Machine Network. Great group of podcasters, and definitely worth checking out!

Podcast 115 – Southern Ontario Open Wrap Up!

Nick, Darrell, Aaron, Kassem, and I headed down to Hamilton, Ontario for the “Southern Ontario Open” again this year! This is probably the best WarMachine tournament any of us have ever attended, and Saturday night after the Masters qualifiers, we sat down and recorded our experiences!

Tournament 016 – Southern Ontario Open – Marc's Results with Cygnar

The dust has settled. The armies have been packed up. The tables are stacked away. The beer has finally been flushed from the collective systems of 200-odd WarMachine and Hordes players.

Southern Ontario Open 117
It is time for the post-Southern Ontario Open wrap up.

Throughout the pictures I took, you’re going to see some awesome zone-markers I bought in support of Team Canada (I bought 2 complete sets for running tournaments, and to help our boys get to Ireland). Please support Team Canada’s WTC funding efforts in your local area (assuming you can find somebody selling them! They’re awesome!).
